Outdoor Kids, Inc. ® is committed to giving back to your communities, the outdoors we all enjoy, and helping children in need. To that end, Outdoor Kids ® and its staff have plans for supporting several branches of charity work. Read on and help us make our dream a reality!

eScrip
As a way to give back to our customers' local communities, Outdoor Kids ® has been an eScrip merchant since 2006. You can read in more detail about how eScrip works on its website, www.escrip.com. eScrip has proven to be a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners such as Outdoor Kids ® contribute a percentage of your credit card and debit purchases to the school, group or organization of your choice.

Here's How eScrip Works
You register any one or all of your existing credit or debits cards for use in the eScrip program. You can also register your grocery loyalty cards (although Outdoor Kids ® does not fall into that part of the program).
Participating merchants such as Outdoor Kids ® make contributions to your chosen group or charity, based on purchases made by you just using the cards you have registered.

Your purchases are tracked and available to you on-line, allowing you to see how much you are earning on your child or charity's behalf.
By participating in eScrip, Outdoor Kids ® will be giving back to our loyal customers by supporting their local nonprofits and community organizations throughout the country. It is a way we can thank each of you for supporting us at Outdoor Kids ® .

 2006: Support for Kenyan Orphans
Outdoor Kids ® has a special relationship with several orphanages in Kenya , Africa . The children living in these orphanages lost their parents primarily due to the AIDS epidemic. The children's basic day to day needs from food and water to shoes and schooling are barely met. Outdoor Kids ® is committed to helping support these orphans not only by supplying life essentials, but also by supporting the teachers who give them hope. We also purchase soccer and basket balls for these children just so they can have some fun…

2006: Make a Wish Foundation
Outdoor Kids ® supported Joey in 2006, our first Make a Wish Recipient. Make a Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their experience with hope, strength and joy. Our hope is to add the Make a Wish Foundation to our charity line and sponsor individual children with serious life threatening conditions when they make an "outdoor wish."

Our Long Term Plan: The Outdoor Kids Charities
Although Outdoor Kids ® is a very small and young business, we believe in building charitable work into our business plan from the beginning. Charitable work is one of the driving forces for starting this company. The long term plan for Outdoor Kids ® is to establish the non-profit " Outdoor Kids ® Charities." Our goals are to support urban kids outdoor programs, environmental education, and habit and species preservation.
