-Sizing Help: I do not know what size I need!!

Sizing can be a challenge on the internet, especially if you are purchasing for a child. Guessing your measurements or your child's size usually leads to exchanges. We suggest you take your measurements or those of your child's body or feet and compare them with our sizing charts. If you are ordering for a child or adult who does not live with you, we highly recommend you do not guess on sizing. Call the recipient or an adult who can confirm a child's sizing. If you need help, please call us before ordering – we are happy to help.

Once you know the proper measurements, remember that each manufacturer of clothing and shoes uses a slightly different sizing chart. You might wear a small in one brand, but a medium in another. To help you, Outdoor Kids ® has provided sizing charts for each manufacturer linked to each of our product pages. If you are looking at a Columbia Sportswear product, for example, confirm the size you need by clicking onto the Columbia Sportswear sizing chart next to the product you are purchasing. - How long will shipping take?
Delivery of your package requires order processing time and shipping time (or delivery = processing + shipping ). We will generally process and ship out your package within 1-2 business days after you're your order has been received by us. Then the delivery companies take over for shipping. Outdoor Kids ® generally shi ps U.S. Postal Service (USPS) for light items, and FedEx Ground for heavy orders. For USPS shipments, almost all packages arrive anywhere in the country 2-3 business days after shipping. For FedEx Ground delivery, the shipping time depends on where you live relative to Outdoor Kids ® . If you are located on the Pacific Coast, shipping generally takes 2 days. For Midwest States, ground delivery is 3-4 days. For East Coast shipments, ground delivery takes 5 business days. If an order is misrouted by a delivery company, the time can be greater. During holiday seasons or before a 3-day weekend, shipping will take longer.

For Alaska and Hawaii , we only ship USPS, and it generally takes 1-2 extra days for delivery.

For APO, FPO, Military and Embassy Addresses: Outdoor Kids® gladly offers our products to our service and foreign servicemen and women around the world. We ship these orders via U.S. Priority Mail. Due to customs paperwork, it usually takes us a day longer than domestic shipments to get your order out the door on its way to the military post office. After that, delivery depends on where you are stationed around the world, and you will know the estimated time to reach your door far better than we can guess. We can definitely put special messages on gifts to your families in the U.S. for you or on packages for the military stationed abroad. -What kind of delay can there be in shipping my order?

The most frequent delays in order processing result from credit card declines and address mismatches.

Credit card processing delays are the #1 delay in getting orders shipped. Why? To protect you from credit card fraud, the credit card processing companies require exact matches between your bank records and the information you send Outdoor Kids ® for your order. For example, if you type the credit card wrong or give an expired card, the card will be declined. If you have a P.O. Box for billing but give a street address or a different address, the card will be declined. Sometimes it takes a day or two for the credit card companies to approve a transaction. Rest assured we will process your order as soon as your payment has been approved. While payment approval delays can be irritating due to validation, they are to protect you from third parties stealing your credit card and personal information.

Invalid shipping addresses can often lead to shipping delays. We validate each address against the U.S. Postal Service database. If your address is quite rural or is new to the U.S. Postal Service database, it might come up as invalid. If you are sending a gift and are not sure of the address, the address might be a mismatch. Just check your address book to be sure of the correct address. We'll handle the rest!

As to sell outs, we try to list only items we have in stock on the website. However, inventory is updated on an hourly basis which allows orders to “sneak in” just after we sell out. If that happens, we will contact you right away to substitute another product or credit you for your order.

-How do I return or exchange an item?
Outdoor Kids ® strives to offer hassle-free service to our busy customers. If you are not happy with anything you purchased from us, ship the item back to us, and we'll exchange it or refund your money (excluding shipping).

All returns or exchanges must be postmarked within thirty (30) days of your purchase date, in new condition, with all original tags. If the item breaks or becomes damaged after thirty (30) days, we cannot accept a return or exchange. If your item is used, stained, muddy or otherwise yucky when it comes back to us, we will not be able to give you credit for your return. All such used items will be donated to a charity of Outdoor Kids ® ' choice.

Please include your name, address and phone number so we can credit you properly. If possible, also include a note about why you did not like the item. This information will help us better serve you and other customers.

Sometimes we receive items returned to Outdoor Kids ® that were not purchased from us. If that happens and we are able to contact you, we will return the item to you with additional shipping charges. No credit or refund will be given from Outdoor Kids ® for such items. If you do not provide contact information when items purchased elsewhere are sent to us, we will donate those items to a local charity of Outdoor Kids ® choice within 2 weeks.

For exchanges, you have two options:

1) If you call or email us, we can send out your exchange immediately so you receive the proper size faster. With your approval, we will charge your credit card for the price of the new item (with no additional shipping charges). Once your original purchase is returned to us, we will issue a credit to you on your credit card for the price of the returned item .

2) Or you can send the item to be exchanged back to Outdoor Kids ® . After we receive the item to be exchanged, we will then ship you the proper size. Questions? Email us at service@outdoorkids.com or give us a call at (530) 297-KIDS (5437).
